Every spring more than a thousand agents visit Capitol Hill offices to lobby members of the House, Senate and their staffs on issues that directly impact independent agents and consumers.

United States Congress
The United States Congress is the legislative branch of the federal government, responsible for creating, debating and passing laws that impact businesses, consumers and the insurance industry nationwide. Congress is made up of two chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate, which work together to shape federal policy, taxation, regulation and economic priorities.

UNITED STATES LEADERSHIP
Congressional leadership guides the legislative agenda and plays a critical role in determining which bills and policy priorities move through the House of Representatives and Senate. Key leadership positions include the Speaker of the House, House and Senate Majority and Minority Leaders and committee chairs, all of whom influence the direction and outcome of federal legislation.
