Connection Information

IMPORTANT: REVIEW THE FOLLOWING ITEMS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED START TIME.

How to use GoToWebinar: https://support.goto.com/webinar/att-guide

Logging in early to the webinar allows time for troubleshooting if necessary.  For connection issues, please contact Cassie Young, cyoung@bigiky.org or (502)-245-5432 ext 105.

  1. Log in at least 30 minutes prior to start time.  This allows time for any necessary troubleshooting.
  2. Pay close attention to your instructor's opening comments for important rules, including the attendance policy. If you fail to comply with any of the rules, you may be removed from the webinar and unable to receive CE or designation update credit.
  3. Clicking the join link will bring you directly into the webinar.  You will not need to enter your names it has already been entered from your registration.

Firewalls

If when trying to join the webinar an error message is received it is most likely an issue with a firewall block. You should try accessing the webinar outside of the company network or outside of Citrix. You may also attend on the GoToWebinar smartphone app from Google Play or the App Store.

Exam

Exam Availability

Your exam will be accessed through the National Alliance's Learning Management System (LMS).  The exam will be available to you beginning at 12:01 am CST on Monday, February 21, 2021, through 11:59 pm CST on Thursday, February 24, 2022.  You will have two and a half hours to complete the exam once you begin.  All questions are essay/short answer.

Exam Proctor

All final exams require you to have a proctor who is a disinterested third party to monitor your exam. Your proctor must be present when you launch the exam through the entirety of your attempt. You have three options when choosing a proctor. The National Alliance highly suggests Option #1.

  • Option #1:  You may use MonitorEdu as a virtual proctoring option. With MonitorEDU, an extra device such as a smartphone or tablet is required. A proctor will observe you remotely on camera while you complete the exam at home or work. No appointment is necessary, and proctors are always available. First navigate to the MonitorEDU website and pay their $15 proctoring fee. When you are ready to take the exam during the exam window, return to this site and click “connect to proctor.”
  • Option #2: You may visit a brick-and-mortar testing location. The quickest way to locate a proctor in your area is to conduct a Google search for “approved proctors near me.” Your search results will yield official testing centers at colleges, universities, libraries, and learning centers. Licensee Insurance Associations (PIA, IIA, etc.) are approved in-person testing locations.
  • Option #3: Someone in a dedicated HR or training department role within your organization may sit with you to proctor your exam.

Exam Proctoring Rules

Submitting your Proctor for Approval

  • In your account at https://pro.scic.com, you will need to submit your selected Proctor's information to The National Alliance prior to testing.  The National Alliance will send exam instructions, including an exam access PIN, to your Proctor's email address.
  • To submit a Proctor to The National Alliance, you will need to log into your account, navigate to your Course History, and click on the button that says Proctor next to your course.
  • If The National Alliance finds that your selected Proctor does not meet the definition of the disinterested third-party as explained above, they may contact you about the need to select a new Proctor prior to testing.

Please watch a short video to help you better navigate the online exam process. Do not be alarmed if the requested proctor information is different than in the video, necessary information varies from course to course.
