The Louisville Board of Independent Insurance Agents is a local board that includes member agents and agencies within the Jefferson County area. It is one of the oldest serving professional groups in the nation, having been established on February 13, 1854. Its formation also played crucial roles in the establishment of what is now the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA) and Big I Kentucky.
